Abigail
Founder & Counsellor
Training
BA (Hons) in Counselling Solutions
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Certificate in Counselling Studies Certificate in Counselling Skills
I am an Integrative Counsellor.
What does 'Integrative' mean? This means that I can alter my way of working to better suit my client's personal needs. Working this way means that I can bring different skills and theories into session that I feel my client may benefit from rather sticking to just one counselling theory. I believe that a counselling journey needs to as unique as the person embarking on it.
I fully qualified as a counsellor back in 2019 since then I have been able to work with a range of different issues from but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, grief, bereavement, abuse and relationship issues.

Lauren
Art Psychotherapist
My approach to art therapy is psychodynamic, which is based on the view that our past experiences influence our present behaviours, attitudes and reactions. It focuses on the unconscious and aims to support clients to gain insight and awareness to understand why they behave a certain way. This can help people to understand themselves to aid recovery and support improved self-esteem, confidence and self-worth. I am outcome focussed and aim to help my clients reach their therapeutic goals through art therapy directives and focussed sessions.
I offer face to face sessions in Barnsley and remote online art therapy via Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Skype.

Kate
High Hopes' Counsellor
Hello, my name is Kate and I am a qualified therapist and Registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). As a member of the BACP, I adhere to their Ethical Framework and codes of Good Practice, ensuring I am working ethically and safely.
Whilst my core training is in Person-Centred Counselling, I draw upon various theories and styles to best suit you and your needs. I will be led by you, working entirely at your pace, and will work with you to deliver the most suitable style of counselling for you and your issues; whether this is coping mechanisms or a deeper self-awareness.
My experience includes, but is not limited to: anxiety, depression, grief-work, suicide ideation, menopause, neurodiversity, and self-worth. Taking the first step to seek help is a courageous task and I aim to work with my clients to harness this and to help them gain clarity and move forward with self-confidence.

Hello, I'm Jamie, a qualified and BACP registered therapeutic counsellor. I offer support tailored to your specific needs, whether you're seeking individual growth or looking to improve your relationship dynamics.

My practice offers strong support for men's mental health, creating a safe, male-focused environment to explore unique challenges. A core part of my individual work centres on understanding and affirming your identity. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you can bring your whole self, with a specific focus on supporting neurodivergent individuals by embracing unique lived experiences and perspectives. Furthermore, I practice with an LGBT affirmative and trauma-informed approach, offering a validating and understanding space as you explore your sexual identity.
Together in individual counselling, we'll work collaboratively to alleviate distress, build healthier meaningful relationships with yourself and others, and empower you to feel more certain of who you truly are.
I also offer couples counselling designed to help partners strengthen their connection and navigate relationship issues.
